About Sharla Macy

I bring to the table a warm, engaging, and inquisitive style, direct and filled with tools and resources to guide our work together. I have had the privilege of helping hundreds of individuals, couples, families, and companies work through incredible challenges toward a positive outcome with greater resilience through relationship counseling for 34 years.

Relationship Counseling:
I believe that investing in our relationships is the most important investment we can make. The mission of my practice is to inspire, support and grow the relational resource and skills to increase connection, effective communication, and joy with couples, families, and organizations. I am a Gottman Referred Therapist and work with couples of all stages of a relationship- from dating, pre-marital, non-traditional, parenting, empty-nesting, discernment, and blended families.

Organizational Experience:
I  have 21 years of working with corporations and organizations in organization training, and development through my background in Employee Assistance work.  Through my team, we provide a rich array of services for leaders and teams.

Education:
I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling from St. Mary’s University. In addition, I have a second Masters’s in Education and a Bachelors’s Degree in Music from Austin College.

Personal Background:
On a personal note, I have 34 years in marriage with two grown daughters, now married. I am a proud grandmother.  I love quality time with my family and friends, hiking, music, and travel. I am a connector and bring zest, creativity, and appreciation of excellence and beauty both for my clients and community.  I will be honored to assist you through the change you are seeking.
